Jana Wimer is a Las Vegas-based writer, director, producer, and immersive experience creator whose work spans horror theatre, live entertainment, haunted attractions, and original experiential storytelling. With a career rooted in creating bold, audience-driven work, she specializes in developing theatrical and immersive experiences that combine strong visual language, character-based performance, and emotionally resonant storytelling.
She is the co-creator of Urban Death, the long-running experimental horror theatre production, and Urban Death: Tour of Terror, the acclaimed immersive haunt recognized as one of the scariest in America. Her work has been presented in Los Angeles; Las Vegas; Bonita Springs, FL; Cape Town, South Africa; and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She is also the co-creator and director of ABANDON, an immersive horror production in Las Vegas, and has developed original immersive horror work for Paramount Pictures.
Jana has extensive experience shaping live productions from concept through execution—guiding performers, building rehearsal processes, developing audience experiences, and collaborating across creative and production teams. Her work is known for its atmospheric intensity, inventive staging, and ability to merge horror, theatricality, and emotional impact into memorable live experiences.
